Rev. Alan Ritter

Pastor Alan Ritter and wife Joyce are natives of Alamance County, NC. Together with his family, Pastor Ritter attended North Graham Baptist Church in Graham, NC where he served as a deacon. One night during revival services, God extended a call for Pastor Ritter to enter the ministry and preach God’s holy Word.
After receiving his call to ministry at age 30, he would leave his job at GKN Alamance and begin his theological training and preparation for ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He graduated under Dr. Paige Patterson in May of 1996. Following his graduation, his senior pastor resigned to pursue his doctorate at Mid America Seminary in Memphis, TN.
Following the inquiries from several members, the pulpit search committee asked him to turn in a resume as a candidate to pastor his home church. With hesitation because people knew him as Alan Ritter the deacon, Pastor Ritter turned in his resume and would pastor his home church for the next five years.
After serving five years, God called him and his family to First Baptist Church of Homosassa in Florida, where he would serve the next nineteen years. In his nineteenth year, Pastor Ritter sensed that God was about to move his family to a new ministry somewhere. Little did he know that God was moving his
family back to North Carolina, just 40 minutes from where he used to live.
Pastor Ritter preached his first sermon as the new pastor of Whites Memorial Baptist Church in August of 2020. Pastor Ritter and Joyce have three wonderful daughters and six grandchildren. He shares a common desire with our church to see God move in the lives of every person of Randolph County, and ultimately the world!
